Set Up Page Pro¶
Page Pro is the commercial paging announcement module — paid-license. It schedules pre-recorded announcements to be paged across phone groups at specific times (e.g. "the cafeteria opens in 10 minutes" announcements). Different from basic Paging (real-time intercom — see Set Up Paging).
Commercial module
Page Pro requires a commercial license from Sangoma. Confirm it's installed at System Admin → Module Admin before configuring. If it's not present, this menu item won't be visible.
Before You Start¶
- Page Pro module installed and licensed.
- The announcement is recorded as a System Recording.
- The phone group(s) to receive the page exist (Paging Group — created in System Attributes → Paging).
- You know the schedule (one-time or recurring days/times).
Steps¶
- Go to System Attributes → Page Pro.
- Click + Add Page Pro Announcement.
- Fill in:
- Description — e.g.
Lunch Break Reminder. - Recording — pick the System Recording.
- Page Group — pick the paging group(s).
- Time — when to play (one-time time/date, or recurring schedule).
- Days — which days of the week.
- Repeat — number of times to play in succession.
- Description — e.g.
- Click Submit.
- Click Apply Config.
Verify¶
Wait until the scheduled time (or set the time to a few minutes from now for testing). The announcement should play through the page group.
Common Issues¶
- Page never fires. System time is wrong (UnifiedBX uses host clock — check
timedatectl). - Page Pro menu missing. License expired or not installed.
- Some phones don't ring/page. Phones not in the page group, or phones don't auto-answer page calls (some need a config flag in their provisioning).
- Audio plays on speaker but caller talks back. Page Pro pages are one-way. If you need duplex, use Intercom feature codes instead.
